We have been keen for the perfection laboratory to be one of the best laboratories in Iraq, with its medical cadres with competencies and rich experiences in various specialties of analyses and medical tests, and modern advanced equipment is being brought in continuously to accommodate all that is new and developed in this field. The laboratory receives patient samples from inside the hospital in addition to the patients coming from the outpatient clinics.
We have three units inside the hospital laboratory, which are:
1- Blood Bank Centre:
In Dar Al-Shifaa Hospital, we have a special centre for blood testing, where the nurse takes a sample of blood according to the doctor’s advice and follow-up with him or with the specialist sending doctor, and we are very prudent to deliver the results in a record time.
Among the blood tests that we provide the following examinations to patients:
- Integrated general examination.
- Pathological examination.
- Complete blood tests.
- Fertility and sterility checks.
- Pregnancy check-ups.
- Nutrition and vitamins.
- Sex hormones.
- A blood test before surgery.
- Allergy tests.
2 – Chemical and pathological laboratory testing unit:
With its advanced equipment and certified global origins, more than 1002 different analyses can be performed at the Centre for Chemical and pathological Laboratory Tests and results are obtained with high accuracy and in record time compared to other laboratories.
3 – Unit of tissue transplantation and cytological examination:
The laboratory also includes a unit for conducting tissue transplantation and cytological examination, where samples are taken from small tissues obtained from the patient by biopsy or taken from surgically removed organs and tissues and then examined by specially prepared devices for microscopic analysis by specialized doctors in examination and tissue transplantation.
It is worth noting that the laboratory operates all day and night and is characterized by speed and keenness to accurately complete the comprehensive examinations that are developed and updated according to the emerging developments at the scientific and global levels.
